What if I can not find a product in the R&D catalog?

Answer:

If you do not find what you are looking for in our catalog, email technicalsupport@rdbatteries.com or contact Customer Service at 1-800-950-1945. We may carry the product under a different name or vendor. If we do not carry the product we may be able to manufacture or locate them through one of our partners. We are always developing new products that may be available but not yet listed in our catalog.

How does R&D ship their orders?

Answer:

Most orders placed before 4:00 PM CST ship the same day via FedEx. Ground, Overnight, 2nd Day Air, and 3rd Day delivery options are available via FedEx, UPS, or USPS Priority Mail. We can ship freight pre-paid or collect for FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Large shipments will be shipped LTL freight by FedEx Freight or collect by the carrier of your choice.

Does R&D offer a warranty?

Answer:

Yes, R&D offers a 12 month warranty from the date of shipment on most rechargeable batteries. Primary batteries will perform at rated capacity at time of delivery. Each battery is identified by a label applied at the time of shipment. This label must remain attached to product for proper identification. Can R&D rebuild my battery?

Answer:

Yes, We are able to retrofit a large selection of batteries. Call or email technicalsupport@rdbatteries.com  with special requests or for custom battery assemblies.

Items listed in our catalog as "send in for retrofit" require that the old battery be sent in to allow us to install new cells inside the existing case. Please call Customer Service or email  customerservice@rdbatteries.com for an order number to reference before sending your batteries in to us for retrofit.

Does R&D offer battery recycling?

Answer:

Yes, R&D Batteries is licensed by the Environmental Management Department of Dakota County within the State of Minnesota as a Hazardous Waste Generator. We are able to process most exhausted rechargeable and primary battery chemistries for proper disposal. Please safely package the product and ship to us freight prepaid to our Receiving Dock.

Question:

How do I read the date code on my battery?

Answer:

Your battery may have two date codes. The white R&D label specifies your part number and contains that date in which your product was shipped, not an expiration date. This date will be used in the event that a warranty is to be assessed. For help on reading manufacturer date codes please call us at 1-800-952-1945 or email technicalsupport@rdbatteries.com

What is R&D’s return policy?

Answer:

An RA number must accompany all returns. Please call or email customerservice@rdbatteries.com to obtain a RA number before sending back items for warranty or credit. Items returned due to customer error may be subject to a restocking fee. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of purchase.

Does R&D ship outside the United States?

Answer:

Yes, international purchases typically require wire transfers or checks drawn on US funds.

Does R&D charge sales tax?

Answer:

R&D Batteries collects applicable sales tax only on orders billed or shipped to addresses within the state of Minnesota. If Minnesota purchases are tax exempt, we require a ST3 Exemption Certificate.

What payment options are available?

Net 30 terms are extended to qualified accounts.
